7 Aesthetic, Vegetarian-Friendly St. Petersburg and Tampa Restaurants that are Not Overrated

Sometimes you just need to do it for the ‘gram, but you don’t need to compromise good food and vibes! Here are my top 7 Aesthetic, Vegetarian-Friendly St. Petersburg and Tampa Restaurants that are not overrated.

Good Intentions

Good Intentions is St. Pete’s first sit-down vegan restaurant and it’s beautiful! Ronak and I went during their soft opening and we loved that they had delicious drinks. The kimchi fried rice and crab cakes are definitely the top wins. I know they’re changing their menu frequently and have even more deliciousness to try out now!

The Library

The Library and I go way back. I used to go when it was still called “The Peabody,” which is where Ronak and I had our first anniversary dinner. Since then, it has evolved into a staple at the hospital for when we want a nicer cup of coffee, a drink at happy hour, or an upscale lunch or brunch! The interior is so aesthetic, I even had my residency photoshoot done here!

Oxford Exchange

Oxford Exchange is the big sister to The Library and features so many areas in a beautiful setting in the heart of Tampa. A bookstore greets you upon first walking in. Further down there is a dedicated coffe shope and a separate dedicated tea stall. A giftshop with curated goods is attached to one of the most unique features of OE, The Champaign Bar. The indoor-outdoor seating is luxurious and the food is great (I do wish they had more vegetarian options!).

Bar Taco

Pics coming soon!

Bar Taco is the only bougie restaurant in Hyde Park, Tampa that I would truly recommend with repeatability. They have a decent number of vegetarian taco options enough to make it worthwhile. The margs are amazing! I love the Tulum-like interior. I have not yet tried the neighboring Timpano but I have heard mixed things and that it is overall overrated.

Psomi

Psomi (pronounced SO-mee) is a very chic Greek restaurant, reminicent of Greece itself. The food is delicious, fresh, and vegetarian-friendly. The menu is more healthy as Greek food typically is, but definitely worth checking out!

Wild Child

Pics coming soon!

Okay so the first time I checked out Wild Child, I did think it was overrated. My mind changed the next time when they significantly improved their menu and they have a great happy hour now as well! The setting is cute and it’s worth going more than once, especially to catch up with friends after work.

Luv Child

Luv Child is a cute spot in Tampa with a Mexican flare. The food is delicious and flavorful, and the spot has an aesthetic feel very similar to Wild Child! I prefer the more exciting menu of Luv Child over Wild Child.

These were my top 7 aesthetic, Vegetarian-Friendly St. Petersburg and Tampa Restaurants that are not overrated (because so many of them are!). Check out my favorite vegan spots in the area as well as my picks for best spots to eat that never disappoint in St. Pete and Tampa!
